N-Power recruitment: FG urges Nigerians to disregard false information by internet scammers


➤- Nigerian youths have been cautioned by the federal government to disregard false information by internet scammers offering jobs through N-Power programme.

➽- The senior special assistant to the president on job creation, Afolabi Imoukhuede, noted that at no time of recent was the N-Power recruitment portal re-opened 

➽- Applicants were also cautioned to be wary of paying money to anyone or organization in lieu of job applications The federal government has cautioned youths against being duped by scammers that are claiming they have jobs to offer through the N-Power programme.

 ➽A `disclaimer’ message made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) by the senior special assistant to the president on job creation, Afolabi Imoukhuede, indicated that at no time of recent did the federal government re-open the N-Power recruitment portal. ➽“You will recall that N-Power just physically verified pre-selected applicants from the 2017 application season in December 2017," it said. It urged Nigerians to disregard the false information by internet scammers and follow its authentic news channel. 

The government cautioned applicants not to release their bank verification numbers (BVN) to unauthorized persons and also be wary of paying money to anyone or organization in lieu of job applications.
 In a previous report by NAIJ.com, the Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government’s employment scheme, N-power, apologised for the non payment of January stipends to its 2016 beneficiaries.
